On an Island with a Flash

I am floored by # 9. I like #5. I think #7 would be a favorite if you didn't have other subjects in the back ground. Fire photos are crisp also. #10 would have been better with a wider shot (crop is too tight). and someone on here once told me don't try to post more than 3 photos for c&c in one thread. Hope that helps!!

Thank you for the encouraging comments.. I hope that below is what you recommended. I will try to stick with 3 only per post :)

Thank you

I really liked the silhouettes. I alot of the photos angles seemed to give a "looking up" perspective at the subject. I think a bit more land in the shots would have helped. Also a bit more variety of shots. You have a variety of poses but all are half body and less. Maybe some full body shots, walking in the distance, etc would tie the set together better. Again I really liked the silhouettes!

Thank you for the helpfull tips.. Btw I asked my self why all my photos were very close this time :) so you are totally right. For sure I will take care of that next time..

On the other hand, I thought I was the tallest and land shots (I liked this description) will appear but it wasn't the case.. Will hopefully do better in next time.

So you were the tallest? Hmmm I wonder why a some of the appear as they are looking in a downward angle towards you? Maybe someone with a bit more knowledge might have an explanation for that. It could very well be just me seeing that.

I like 1,3,4.9,10. I agree that it seems that in most of the pics the subject seems to be looking down at the camera. I know you said you were the tallest but use that to you advantage and shot down on the subject. Watch out for the back grounds in a couple of the frames.

On #1 I wish there was more room to the left of his pointing finger. The finger carries my eye out of the frame and more room would help the flow.

I am not a pro and do not claim to be one. I also do not like shooting people so take my advise for what it is.

keep up the good work.

Now it made sense to me. When I was taking the flash photos I wanted the sky to show and sometimes the sun.. so I bent down to get that result :)

Thank you :) Shooting from above is finally resolved, as I was bending to get the sky only in the frame.. Will take better care of the back ground.. Here is another photo simular to no.1 hope this does better.
