On approach to LHR

Sony A7RII Carl Zeiss Loxia 35 f/2

As the Loxia is a manual focus lens, it has an advantage in that I can ensure the camera doesn't focus on any dirt on the plane's window...

Wow, those are impressive! If they were skyscrapers, it would look like NYC., but this looks great. Is that a battleship in #2?

Yes it's HMS Belfast a WW2 Destroyer which is a floating museum.

The Shard is in two of the shots - the 4th highest building in Europe at 1,016 feet. And a few of the others are 600 -800 ft.
 
You had a good seat on the aircraft! What strikes me about these is the density of the buildings. Soooo tightly packed.

I'm a very frequent flyer with top frequent flyer status so get first choice. I nearly always choose the right hand side of the aircraft incoming to London...
