It's a rock.Nice shot, what is it.....?
Thanks, bubba, thought you might like that. That's a stunner and the bokeh is just sublime.
Thank you Jeff. Is there a particular web site you use for Bird ID? I know you've mentioned a phone app before. (SEEK)Very nice shot of a Ruddy Turnstone! Wonderful all around!
You are welcome! Yes, mostly I use Seek by iNaturalist, which has very good accuracy. Merlin is also a good one, but it actually takes a picture and stores it on your phone, in order to ID the image. With Seek, you can point your phone camera at the screen, and it will usually come back quickly with a result in most cases.Thank you Jeff. Is there a particular web site you use for Bird ID? I may give Seek a try, people are driving me nuts with bird ID's. I say something is one thing and two other people say I'm wrong but not even they, the so called experts (???), can agree with each other. You are welcome! On this shot, both Seek and Merlin agree... with me...I may give Seek a try, people are driving me nuts with bird ID's. I say something is one thing and two other people say I'm wrong but not even they, the so called experts (???), can agree with each other.
That's what I thought this one was, no doubt. The bird in question on two different sites was the 1st pic in my thread, "Sanderlings & black-crowned Night Heron." What do Seek and Merlin say about that bird. I thought for sure it was a breeding adult sanderling according to the site I looked at but some species are so similar it's hard to tell them apart and so I get all this confusion. It's tiring. On this shot, both Seek and Merlin agree... with me...![]()
