This is awesome. I took photos of HS feild hockey a few weeks ago and it really can be challenging. This is great though. Great stop motion, awesome eye contact. Its a shame about the guy on the left, though. Other than that, it looks very nice. Well done. The greens and blues could use a little helping hand, IMO. :thumbsup:

Id love to hear what camera/lens/settings this was taken with/at.

Gotta love the cloudy days! Really enjoyed watching the Macy's Parade this year with the deep saturation of colors that a cloudy day can make. I used to take the photos for my daughters soccer team during HS and I really miss doing that. That was back in the days of film...

nice stop action.
IMO, the comp is off with the runner dead center.
Also it is a bit too bright for my taste.

@Mark - yeah, I kept the figure on the left to give the runner some field to move into. Having it cropped, as The Traveler has done, doesn't work for me. This was done on my work machine so I don't have access to the exif, but I usually shoot football with my 300 f4L and a 1.4 tc. I would have been shooting at least 1/500th and would have bumped the ISO to get there (probably 800). I like the Aperture wide open to simplify the background. You get enough DOF when you are as far away as I was. I was at the corner by the end zone and the runner is about mid field.

@Georgiegirl - thanks for commenting. As a teacher and coach, I get a lot of practice shooting high school sports. Of course I only post the passable shots out of the dozens I click away.

@the traveler - thanks for the edit. It's always interesting to see another take on an image. I have to say that I don't think the changes help any though, especially with the crop. Having the player running left and more space on the right looks odd to me.
