Very nice! I love that bold bright green moss in the foreground and then the dreamy look of the stream in the background. Nice effect, very nicely done in my opinion.

Nice idea, pitting the moss against the water.
Perhaps increasing the green of the other bank would make the image more of a whole - the land against the water.

i would be interested in seeing it retaken. i love the scene. The blurry background really doesn't look dreamy to me though just out of focus. I also agree with another poster as far as bringing the scene together. The bright foreground and darker background (combined with the the blurry background) makes the picture not look uniform. If there were a way to make the entire picture even and the entire picture exceptionally soft maybe that dreamy look would come forward. im not sure how to do that but i think the result would be a outstanding photo.

ok guys, thank a lot!

I understand your point Lew/tirediron/bribrius but I really wanted the background not to be like the foreground. I wanted that huge rock, the moss, the leaves and the light in the foreground featured, the background should just give you an idea about the place where it is.

I was photographing this place many times before and I'll be photographing this place many times more. I just needed something different then usual for myself.
You're be certainly seeing this place in the future and differently shot.

You'll see the far bank in focus and you'll see this place edited in more ways. I'm trying and challenging myself to find more ways to photograph this place. It's a beautiful place, but not so approachable to give you always a composition that you want.

I agree there is too much ground/leave/foreground. its still a very nice shot, but I think if you were about 10 feet to the left it could be really nice. definitely keep that great green moss as a foreground focus!

10 feet to the left wasn't an option. You assumed here that there is a clean and clear view 10 feet to the left. I'll be in the river

Just a step back from the spot I stood here and you would all see a bush and next to the bush is enormous tree and so on and so on. If I moved to the left I would loose that curved line of the rock

Is there any room in your frame to maybe give just a couple inches of rock room to the bottom left?
I know you mentioned your restraints in this shot, but I just feel a little cramped between the rock and the edge of the frame.
