HoosierJoe, I did try a couple different settings, but this was pretty much the shot I thought best captured the detail in the middle. I would have liked to play with the settings a little longer, but as I said, I was supposed to be doing something else at the time rather than amusing myself, and it was something like -10 degrees that day... Thanks for looking and commenting, I have to seriously start thinking about off camera lighting, if i can get enough photos where I can say, I would have really liked a filler flash, I will be able to justify the money, but right now I primarily shoot trees.
