Spent our long weekend in Banff, this is probably my favorite hotel to stay at.
I metered under a few stops on the sky but it still seems blownout.

Funny, I was just there this past weekend and took a photo of the same hotel from a totally different angle.

I like your approach to this one but, like me, I think you need a filter to not over expose the sky and to get the proper exposure on the hotel.

I definitely like the vantage point of yours a lot more. This was the only place we stopped briefly on our way through (calgary to kelowna) and took a few shots while I had time.

Yes, we drove out to see the golf course and my 3 year old wanted to stop and see the falls.
