One from Today

I know this looks like a painting, but its a real image and personally I think my best landscape to date!

Oh before I forget, some details. Left home at 5am, drove for almost 3 hours before got this shot, my 'shot of the day' was actually a stunning sunrise over a lake with mist, but even with the tripod, didnt come out how I though, surprisingly enough when I took this, I didnt think of much, then with 3 minutes work in photoshop with minor adjustments I get this, almost like a painting!

I like this type of photo also. I do think though that it could use a bit more detail/light on the right.

Thanks and I agree. I may crop it off to give it a better edge.

I would not crop the right. But you might try to selectively bring a bit more light into that area so more detail will show.
The effect you gave this is good. Very appealing. It does look like a painting! Lovely light - the sky is a bit featureless, though. Is there anything that could still be done, you reckon?

Hi,

I like the scene and it's nicely composed. It's quite dark though & as mentioned has lost some of the detail as a consequence - might be worth trying to brighten the shadows a little

Well the shot was taken at 6.45am and there litterly was no detail in the sky, 4 second exposure. I might just use the dark part to put the name of the image on as it will look nice on canvas... its my first attempt at 'proper' landscape photography.
