I worked 12 hour shifts from midnight to noon....

The only thought in my mind when I was alone with no one to distract me... "How the heck do I get out of this job?"

I used to think that too... until I realized that I can retire in 13 more years at the grand old age of 45 with 80% of my salary. I'll put up with the 12 hour shifts until then, then use my retirement to help me open my own studio again.

Just get one then. The prices have are reasonable enough, and quality high enough, on older models that if you already have a body, it doesn't make a lot of sense to get a full frame DSLR unless you want high ISO - which I think is WAY over rated.

Yeah. It an FX lens allows the full use of wide angle lenses, and the dynamic range is much wider. I always find it easier to edit images shot with an FX sensor, than I do those shot with a DX lens. The shadows are harder to deal with and there's more recovery available.

I don't use anything DX formatted because I shoot an F100 and I want to use my lenses interchangeably between both formats.
