I like the way you caught the moment, one player trying to rip the opponent's head off, I mean helmet! (I've photographed hockey, they never do anything like this! <--- obvious sarcasm)

Nice timing, would have been better framed a little lower - there's plenty of space above their heads but would look better including the entire player (in the red) and not cropping off feet.

unlike the "sport" hockey, a penalty would be inccured.

It's really just in need of a crop, that would take care of the framing. It looks a little soft to me, player on the right looks sharper.

Should have been a facemask penalty called on play.

Probably just would've been roughing in hockey - they're all :bigangel:.

I agree I'd crop the bottom edge just slightly but then I'm particular, I'd want to eliminate that orangey line along the bottom left and the top edge of the white sock, etc. (then crop to balance from there). My eyes just seem to go right to the details in my own photos as well, maybe from shooting film where there's no crying in hockey I had to learn how to get a clean composition in camera.
