ok, what is some feedback of things i could do better with this pic? was a 2 second handheld exposure so it might be a little fuzzy

Well, using a tripod next time will help. Or at least getting your camera on a stable base and use the timer.

Two seconds hand-held wow I can't even hold myself steady enough for 1 second haha.

Setting up on a tripod will definitely help the shots get sharper. If you get yourself a neutral density filter you could get even longer exposures for the dreamycreamy look I think you're going for here. I'm not sure the aperture you used but f11 is a good point to start for these shots where you want lots in focus (looks ok in this photo).

Personally I would have liked an angle closer down to the ground but that's where the tripod helps

not take it . the log crossing over ruins it imo. Beyond that it seems kind of flat and lacking depth and the color seems a little high. For the water in this case i think you had the shutter speed a little too slow for my taste anyway. The water lost it consistency. The spot at the very top that is white, sun wash out, may also have been avoided a little easier with a slightly faster shutter speed. and then bringing up the rest of the water using dlight or shadow functions

any ideas as to how i could get a picture editing program for cheap? these are all straight outta the camera and i would really like the ability correct little things that i wasnt able to avoid in the field. thanks for the feedback, keep it coming!

you have a great free software and you can download it right now. Just Google: GIMP

on this image, it seems to me that the trees in the upper left are not as in focus as the rest of the picture, or is it just me? i used 42mm iso 100 2 second exposure at f/36, i used the biggest f stop (or is it the smallest?) because i wanted to make sure that everything was crisp and in focus? it was also a bright sunny day around 3 pm, i had happened to get a cloud that passed by just right and gave me a few min to take some pics
