Alien Bees/Paul C Buff is soon to release a new remote transmitter..

- 2.4 ghz w/ 400' range
- ~1yr battery life for the receiver, 200hr life for the tranny which runs on AAs
- Receivers ship with the following cords: 3.5mm-to-3.5mm, 3.5mm-to-1/4" adapter and 3.5MM to PC (which will connect it directly to an Nikon SB speedlight with a PC jack.)
- $60 for the tranny, $70 for the receiver.

the previous version had a battery-powered tranny and AC-powered receiver

they look to be smaller than PWs, too.

i've had a real good run with all of my paul c buff gear, and i definitely plan on picking up some of these instead of PW's.
