Hi guys! well im new here (will try find the new members thread sometime).

I just want to hear what others have to say about my shots (much like everyone else). feeling a little unispired so yeah...

anyways here goes. all of these are with the Canon 50mm f1.8

ok.... 1st 4 pics are dark... could be lit better .. you had good subjects if you played in photoshop or lightroom I am sure that they could be improved with a little bit of tweaking
4th pic watch your cropping the light bit bottom right is distracting
5th .. pretty girl but looks like a happy snap rather than a portrait
6th ... meh boring no story to the pic.. not sure why you included this one
7th ...would be a why did you put this one in kinda pic...completely different than the others... I'd look at your cropping as you have placed this dead centre in the frame... look up "the rule of thirds".. or the "Golden Spiral"they may help you with your crop selection...

thanks forgot that i under exposed the 1st 4 because i was at a wedding and it was in the mid day sun (over exposed dress is not cool). forgot to bump up the exposure :/ 6th one is actually more of a South African thing... KFC and Mr price are huge here...

these were just a bunch of shots Ive taken with the new lens.. just playing around with it (most of them)

EDIT: i know of the rule of thirds think ive heard of the golden spiral.. looking it up now
