Opinions on Sto-Fen Omni

I'm currious how many photographers use the Omni bounce for their flash and if this product is worth having.

i would say so, just to soften the harsh light of some flashes. however it depends what you shoot at the end of the day...

I've used tissue over the flash to diffuse, but I have to attach it using a rubberband and sometime this takes a while. I just thought this looks easier to mount and may do a better job of distributing light.

Get it if you need it. It is only less than USD20. Much better than tissue and rubberband.

They are utterly rubbish. Only cut down the amount of light from your gun.

Set your fun to manual and reduce the output; this will have a very similar effect.

Bounce as often as possible - tissue paper can work - or use the gun off camera on a bracket.

I have been very unimpressed by these bits of plastic and yes - they are cheap - but they are also just plastic!
