Opinions on the Sony A230, Pentax K-X, or Canon 1000D?

Hi, I'm looking for opinions on these three cameras, for my first entry level DSLR. Now I have heard that the Sony has the biggest bang for it's buck, but doesn't perform well in low light setting, compared towards the Canon 1000D. Movie mode isn't important to me, nor is live view. I also know that the Pentax doesn't have a reliable image stabilization. MP don't exactly matter to me because I won't be enlarging any of the photos. I am also trying to stray from the Canon 1000D because of pricing for now. Any opinion will help!

Just finding a solid camera for a good price. Something reliable that I can take good photos with. And a camera that doesn't have too many flaws.

- i'm a canon 1000d user. been using it for the past 4 months
- examples 1000D Top 100 - a set on Flickr

it's enough for the kind of pics that i take. I spent more on lens
