I agree on the processing. Composition is fine, the color and volume is important here.

But then, if I was going for plastic tulips, I guess I succeeded.

I saw that and left it in anyway. I liked it at the time.
Anyway , it's gone now. As is the rest of the photo.

I like it but I don't know what I'd do with it. I might add some effect to make it even less photo-like so it doesn't appear as if you're trying to pass this off as a "real" photo (for lack of a better term). Or else I'd stick with the un-plasticized version. If it were a painting, I'd hang it on the wall with no worries.
