I think you went a little overboard on the "shadow protection" or whatever the software you use calls it when you artificially brighten the shadows. You have created a lot of noise in the dark feathers and you are missing out on a lot of contrast and detail because of that.

I think this has a chance to be a cool shot, but your post processing has really hurt this photo.

I found the photo and posted it for you. Any ideas?

It probably was the sharpening tool,it looks to be gone now but a little softer.Still a great shot though.

The 2nd pic isnt there. If I were you, I would make a flickr page. The photos are supposed to look better when shared from flickr rather than photobucket.
