...I think....lol I dont know anything about birds really as far as types of them...but I am pretty sure this is an Osprey

Thats a Osprey,Nice capture.I wish I was so lucky to find one sitting still.

LOL I was driving down the road on Sauvie Island near Portland and he was just chilling there .....I was making all sorts of "bird" noises to get him to look at me I think he was annoyed by it....Tookie tookie and cacaw cacaw dont work very well, I think something is lost in translation somewhere...lol

Besides looking at state websites for local park info, I find ebird a very good reference.. "Bar Charts" show you what is in season, and range and point maps will show you specific sightings in your area... http://ebird.org/ebird/eBirdReports?cmd=Start

Nice I will definitely check it out...I just got a NIkon 300mm f4 and a tc14e II teleconverter....you think that will be ok for birds that are flying?

Very nice, those are some cool birds. I enjoy watching them when I am out fishing.
