Nice!

I really like the color you're getting from that Gold 400, and the lens you've got on the F5 has a very interesting quality wide open (4th and 9th shots.) I also love the last black and white of the Nikon shots.

And that Jag! :heartpump: Sooooo pretty...

And of course, that kitty gets another :heartpump: from me.

Thanks! The lens was the 35-105mm f3.5 from the Lens Across America thread. It was a fun lens. I enjoy the Gold for this kind of shooting as its inexpensive and generally looks pretty good. a bit grainy though.

The Jag was my dads first car (has had it since '72) We did a full restoration about 17 years ago but it fell into disrepair for the last 8 or so years. So we finally pulled it out and got it going again. We just put on a new custom headers, triple weber side draft carbs, 5 speed trans, light weight flywheel, new radiator and fans. There is a little body work that needs to be done now though.

I love my kitties! this one is a Kurilian Bobtail mixed with a Flame Point Siamese. In the US, his breed is consider a wild animal and not domesticated. He loves to play in water and hes super big. He enjoys laying across my shoulders as I do my editing, walking around the apartment and sitting on the toilet hahaha. He likes to lay on his side in the bath tub, put his feet on the walls and run circles on his side around the tub. Hes a goofball.

The Gold is my favorite consumer grade film, too, though I have been shooting more 200 ISO. I've recently branched out into Agfa Vista and was actually quite pleased with its color rendering in very grey-sky conditions.

You guys did a nice job on the Jag. It's just...oh, I could stare at it all day! How does it drive?

By your description, I love your kitty, too! What's his name? Crazy boy :586: How many cats do you have?

Ive been wanting to try out the Rollei 25 rpx or whatever it is but its like 10 a roll so I havent given it a try yet. Ive had a few people tell me to try AGFA as well but just havent committed.

It drive really well and with all the performance upgrades from both builds, shes running around 400hp right now. not bad for an inline 6 motor hahaha. Brakes are a bit stiff though so we will either have to reset them or pull the rear axle completely to rebuild. hopefully we wont have to

His name is Colby Cheese cuz of his colors hahaha. We have another all black kitty (if you look at the photo, youll see her behind colby) we adopted a couple years ago. Her name is Athena (my wife is Greek) Shes a runt so shes super petite and she sleeps on my head every night. Colby typically sleeps on my wifes head. Its a bit bazaar looking im sure haha. We also have a rescued field mouse. She came into the shop with her head caught in a PT Cruisers door (we named her Patricia Cruiser) and her little body dangling. I dropped her in a box and eventually tried to let her go later that afternoon but she just sat there looking at me so I had to keep her. shes been awesome for the past couple years. No damage of any kind which is good. Then we or rather the wife adopted her sister three little fish. No idea what they are but they are only about as big as a 50 cent coin so they arent hard to take care of.

Yup, there are a few films I'd like to try, too, but am a bit put off by the price. It's one of the reasons I haven't tried slide film yet - not just the cost of the film, but I'd have to mail it out for development since I'm not doing my own color yet and the lab that does my color negative (for only about $2 a roll!) doesn't do E6 processing.

Here are some shots from my first roll of the Agfa 2 weekends ago (shot with my trusty K1000):

Awesome names and kitties. I hadn't even noticed Athena's head in the picture. My two cats are sisters - Zelda and Mrs.Parker. And I have to say, I love that you kept the mouse (another good name, too). My roommates and I did that in grad school, but the poor thing died just a few days later. So we then got some pet store mice and they were a lot of fun.

It sounds like you would enjoy hanging out at the "zoo" I plan to have at my house one day ;) I have been making plans for it over in the Coffee House thread.

Thats nice you were able to keep Zelda and Mrs. Parker together. Athena had 2 brothers at the adoption as well but we just couldnt afford all of them nor did we have the room. Athena had been in 2 foster homes previous to us and she was said to be extremely shy so when we went into the little meeting room the lady said dont be surprised if she doesnt come out and see you. When she opened the door Athena poked her head out, paused, then walked over to me and jumped into my lap and fell asleep. We couldnt leave with out her haha.

The AGFA looks great! Next time Im ordering some rolls I will for sure get some. E6 is a ton of fun but you really have to nail the exposure though. I love it and would kill to shoot it constantly at a decent price. Ive mostly shot 4x5 though which I am terrible at for some reason. I think I get tripped up on the metering for some reason

My scanner is awful so please excuse the banding:

I love my zoo but its definitely big enough. The wife has been wanting a snake now and she has a dog at her moms.

Aww, she chose you! You're right, you can't leave an animal that has chosen you :) My girls were only about 9 weeks when I saw them at the shelter. Zelda was handed over to me to hold, and she settled right into the crook of my arm and started purring. Then she turned her head, gave me a little love bite, and then kept purring. Mrs Parker was squirmy when held, but she looked at me with such a worried little look on her face. I already knew I wanted two siblings so they could stay together and keep each other occupied while I was at work, but even if I had intended to get only one, there was no way I could leave those two or separate them. Little brats :D

Love the picture of the cross and the last one. I know slide film is going to be one of those things that will break your heart over and over again, but when you nail the exposure and everything goes right, you will forgive it a thousand times over because it's that good!
