when i went back to school and checked one of my threads with pics in they were huge on their 1024x768 / 800x600 res moniters... do any of you lot find the pics i post too large?

I can't say as I remember weather or not your pics were too large or not, but a good rule of thumb is to make them no more than 800 pixels wide (I go with 700, and I think they're plenty big)

Nope, can't say I've found any of your pics to be too large. Too few maybe, but not too large :)

i start of with 700 but then borders normally take up to 760px wide

I use 1280x1024 because I design a lot and edit films a lot... it's easier :)

I have 2 monitors at 1600x1200. As Corry said, if you keep your pics to less than 800x600, it'll ensure than everyone can see them without scrolling.

That's a lot of screen.

1280x1024 is the highest this ancient CRT can support so that's what I run.

It's beautiful. 2 Dell Trinitron monitors, one 21" and one 19". I can never go back to anything less.

1280x1024 on 17" LCD here. :)

Just wish I could calibrate it properly - has a slight flicker once i've finished noodling with the controls :(
