Pale Shirt and White Background...

Hi, I'm hoping someone has a great new trick for getting rid of the white(ish) background on this type of image. I'm doing it now with magic wand and magnetic lasso, but since I have a load of these to do, I thought I'd see if anyone has come up with a quicker, easier way? I'm not sure there is one, but I'm a born optimist! Thanks for any and all help.

Are you just trying to change the colour of the background?
If so why not just add a fill layer and mask it?
