Panatomic X

I'm wondering if there is ANY way to buy some Panatomic X, which is like, the BEST black and white film of all time.

Also, what B&W film that is available has the best tonal range?

(Heh, I'm starting my photo class and want my photos to look GOOD.)

Tonal range of a photograph will be affected by paper choice, chems choice, film choice, techniques choice, lighting, etc... Too many variables that affect the outcome to say there is a "best" film for getting a good tonal range.

Film tests to determine personal film speeds and development times come in very handy in consistantly getting great negs.
