Panorama shot of NYC with 9/11 Lights

Hey guys,


I took this Panorama technically last night... Let me know any thoughts... One issue I dont like is the center of the horizon... I was thinking about moving it to the lower third, but I like the reflections in the water as well...

You can never take enough pics of this scene.....BUT...there was another photo posted a couple hours ago and it STANDS OUT as being a really great photo.

I wont say anything bad about yours though. I love the lights.

The reflections are really cool! I like it the way it is, in my opinion the center is in the correct position.

Fantastic shot! I love this photo. Didd you stitch the photos together to make the panorama? I never get bored looking at shots like this.

Thanks alot! Yes I stitched it with photoshop merge tool... Took about 5 30sec exposures to get it all

There's nothing wrong with putting the horizon line nearly centered in a panorama, especially since you have used the reflections on the lower half. I would prefer the main subject (the lights) be centered. Right now it looks like "oh hey, those lights just happen to be there and look cool, so I'll tack them on at the end."

I would have been on the east side of manhattan to try that

Forgive me, I'm not super familiar with the scenery, but what was to the right of the lights? You could have included that instead of the entire skyline, or made a wider panorama.

No worries...There was alot of emptiness to the right of the city

I'm pretty sure that this shot is basically of manhatten. To the right there is water. And the statue of liberty, eventually.
