Panoramas With Photoshop

whats the best way to make a panorama in photoshop? i've used the photomerge function but it can't even line up the horizons and also leaves diagnol lines through the picture.

i use hugin. its free and easy to use. it gives great results. google it!

Autostitch is free and works well also.

if you can mask in PS, I find it easier to just manually do it. bring all the images together in one document and roughly align them. then start masking and align as you go.

but this would depend on how many images you have. more than 3 or 4 and i would probably want to use some software too!

Odd, I've always found Photomerge to be an excellent tool. This makes me wonder if there isn't a problem with your original images (Eg, not level, lack of proper overlap, multiple long horizontal lines, etc). Can you post a couple of the images that you're trying to merge?

Nice job!

Might just be me, but looks like the middle section is a tad brighter than the rest. The clouds straight up from that section of beach seem a bit clearer / lighter
