Panoramic

I was wondering how I could make a panoramic from 2 different pic. I have Jasc paint shop Pro 8. Nikon picture project. Thank you

in photoshop go to file>automate>photomerge. find the pics you want and let it do it's thing. depending on the computer/file size it may take a while, or it may go fast.

And if you want some really clever automated stitching then by all accounts, Realviz Stitcher 5 is supposed to be the one to buy.

I like to use Autopano-SIFT http://user.cs.tu-berlin.de/~nowozin/autopano-sift/ to generate control points and then use Hugin http://hugin.sourceforge.net/ to stitch them together. Both programs are free but they do a really good job. They can be a little tricky at 1sth though. *BOINK* bumping this one up...

So to shoot a really good panoramic, do you just put your camera on a tripod and shoot all around in a circle (or not all the way 360 degrees, but however far you want to keep rotating)?

It makes me want to get out and experiment....I wonder what will happen if I stand in the centre of a field and go 360? *scratches head*
