I'd be lying if I didn't say it was the Nikon D700 sensor and 24-70 that should get 90% of the credit.
Reasonable light and a large memory card gets about 80% of the remainder

One of the real difficulties in traveling to places like this is that I get tired of taking pictures and just want to look.
(I brought back 3200 of which I kept about 2900. Each of my friends took many, many more pictures than I did.)
Then later I wish I had more pictures.
I proposed to my fellow travelers that we pool all of our not-really-great shots so we can use then for filler for presentations. We'll see how that comes out.

Sure, I've got plenty.
Here are a couple that are OK but not the way I'd hoped.
PPing only works so far and there was no way to get to the market early enough to get better light. (90 minute boat ride)

I had great hopes for these two below but the shadow was so deep I couldn't get enough DOF and speed to get her hammer in focus and its motion stopped (believe me I tried) and, in the other, the background is too bright to fix well enough
