Hey everyone!
I've recently been in the business of making different paracord accessories (bracelets, rifle slings, etc). I had some material lying around and made a camera strap. Below is a picture of the prototype. I'm going to order materials to make some more that use buckles to attach to the camera to make them a bit nicer (for the prototype I just used materials I had). If anyone would be interested in buying one please let me know. I'm about to buy a bunch of materials, so I'd like to have a rough estimate of how much to order.
The new ones I'll be making will be two toned, with black in the middle and either red or yellow on the outside (to resemble the Canon and Nikon straps). For price I was thinking $20-$25 would be fair.
If you're interested, or think you might be interested in one, please comment below and let me know which color scheme you want.
Thanks!
- David

It sounds like a good idea in theory, but I cannot see these being comfortable. After shooting a wedding with an OEM canon strap on a gripped 5D mark II, and a heavy lens like an 85/1.4 or 35/1.4, I had the worst neck pain of my life.

The thinner and more rigid profile of this strap would most likely hurt for extended shooting whilst using a heavy gripped body. That's why I opted for a black rapid strap after shooting that wedding. If you could devise a sling strap of this fashion, you might be onto something. As is, it looks like you're asking for neck punishment.

That might be fine for a small popint and shoot around yoru wrist, but anything heavier is going to really be uncomfortable since it's so narrow. And they can be found all over the place on the internet already.

Unless you are making them like this, but still will be uncomfortable around the neck.

Or when you get tired of reading your camera manual you can work on the DIY version....

If I were to send you paracord in the mail, I could pay you not 20, but a lower price since some people are skeptical I can make a video, and write a review on it? Just a collaboration type thing. Email me clindgrenphotography@gmail.com if you're interested.
I've thought of doing this for a longgggg time because camping and photography are my 2 hobbys but never got around to it.
