I'm in full agreement with all the previous responses BUT I will add that you have approached photography from a creative angle and there's nothing wrong with that! As matter of fact, the fact that you got this many responses indicate some manner of emotional response, though not necessarily a positive one ;)

Too many shots of the guy screamed "drunk or stupid idiot" so I wound up losing interest. :)

uhhhh...

Lots of people here are shocked and blown away - so I think you accomplish exactly what you want with your photos. Agreed, from a photography standpoint they need a lot of work - better composition, lighting, and most are soft. However, I think you came up with some amazing metaphors for the feelings you were trying to portray. So, great vision and excellent story telling - now you just need to beef up your technical skills.

I agree with the "father" pic - by far the most powerful of the bunch.

I usually try to be constructive and cordial when it comes to criticism and comments but these are just plain bbbaaaadddddddddd!! I mean if this isn't bad then what is? Some of the shots are out of focus. The lighting and composition is poor in practically every shot. I don't even know where to begin with making these better. The worst part is that I think OP feels like he's created something half way decent. But no, these have no real redeeming qualities to them. A lot of C&C on pretty decent photos are really specific and nitpicky that it feels like they suck but they don't. Here, it needs to be said these are bad. And I don't mean to insult OP as a person or anything. But really feel like he doesn't "get it" but he thinks he does.

Santa is the only one that I think that is a good concept, with the right lighting, propoer composition, and maybe a more "innocent" lookig bear it could be very weird, bizarre, and striking.

no body is blown away, that is the problem

There's really far to many for anyone to give an effective critique. I feel like as a whole the series lacks context. You haven't developed a character through photos, you've just kind of taken a bunch what appear to be random shots.

wht a crazy photo man but it's cute keep it up...

Cute is an interesting word choice on your part...

Don't mind me, I am double parked in my lols-royce.

not even shocked. The idea has merit but , little skill has been applied to the thought.

Agreed.

Though I'm sure these photos were taken with the intent to as you say "tell a story" they feel random. Sure you can do any facial expression, but you need to look at the rest of the photo. The background composition, color composition..everything should be taken into account really. You also need to consider where you are placing your subjects, and what are your subjects. If your subject is your suggestively placing Rice Krispies in front of your crotch, well that should be the subject. You can accomplish that by reducing the scale of the other objects, or making you fill more of the frame. You also want to consider depth of field, limiting which objects you can see.

But don't give up, just try some new things and experiment!
