PARANOID GENTLEMAN - Thoughts on my work?

I don't like them at all. They hardly scream Paranoid Gentlemen to me either, FWIW. I usally don't bash photos or others work and I don't like to, so I apologize for not being positive and I'll just leave it at that.

I was thinking someone bored @ the cottage looking for something to do.

And Ron Evers is in the thread!

Really Ron? You don't find his photos a little creepy?

I have learned, mostly on this forum, that others can have vastly different tastes than mine in photography. So I try not to criticize based on content that I find uninteresting, cars, motor bikes for example. I am not artistically inclined & so am reluctant to comment in that regard; as Bitter once posted, I will never get it. However, since you ask, I do not like the series at all & find the images to be somewhat disturbing. Possibly the OP's intent.

I must agree with the above. The photos were way cluttered. And some were out of focus. Share them with your friends on facebook, if you must, but on a photo forum they are out of place.

Why the hell is the cereal one called Amanda? I hate sharing my cereal with my bear and not wearing socks in the morning!!

This is one of the most disturbing series of snapshots I've ever seen.

Good work.

I find it strange that anyone would have a viceral reaction to these at all.

The ones that seemed to have any sort of element that might be disturbing are so trumped up and hamfisted as to make them basically just laughable. Like the ones with the giant teddy bear. I think the concept was actually a very good idea... to the point that I was thinking about taking a crack at something similar... but the execution is mostly just worth a chuckle or two.

Wild shots. Your ideas, poses, and crops are interesting, but, like always, technique... focus, flash, etc, needs work. I think if you brush up on these you could turn out some really cool stuff, so keep at it!

Lol this is pretty bizarre. In terms of photography, they look like snapshots.

Ironically enough, all these terrible facebook photos look like a hipster gallery exhibit that I would have walked out of (not before asking for my money back). Just like how I'm wishing I had not even wasted the time to respond to. This is utter ****. Sorry OP, you asked what I thought.

Good or bad photos, who cares. You've definitely provoked some sort of emotional response in a lot of people, me included. This is art.

I don't know what I find more shocking - the photos or the 3 pages you guys have made from drunken snapshots ;)
