These were taken right outside my home. I can always go back to reshoot if I have to. Which one do you think is best for comp and exposure?

Thanks!

I like both for different reasons, but here's what I see:

#1: Better of the two, although I think it'd be neat to see more of the valley

#2: Seems to be noisy, can't tell if it's from high ISO or from a squished perspective. Almost looks like the resizing is a bit off to me.

I like the second one but I wish it was straight :)

I really enjoy the first one. The second one does look like it needs to be straighten but could just be me.

I have to say #1 is better.
Honesty, I have to say that #1 is not a strong shot. I do not see how the whole image works.

I think you need to re-examine what you are trying to convey with the shot, and walk around the area looking at what works.

I like #1 better, but I wish it was taken from maybe one step to the right.

Neither of them are horribly interesting to me, but they're not bad.

They look like they've been over sharpened, I think.

Im diggin the first one, ive got one that looks almost identical. =)

I like number one the best. I wish the chain holding the bench and the long pole infront of the bench was gone, but I think the composition is very good.

Try playing with it in post. The greens, blues, and browns can be enhanced.

I would say its a tie.. but #1 has more potential.... If you try again, move to the right a bit, but keep the bench in the same general area of the frame. For me the big tree sort of take away from the bench, which appears to be the subject. So if you move to the right, you can keep the tree out, and this will also show more of the valley, which I think will turn out very nice.

For me it's the first one. The bench makes a nice subject and the light cooperated in highlighting it for you. The second one seems like the bench is blocking your subject, and do to no sunlight hitting the back of it, it's darkest part of the photograph without being dark enough for a nice silhouette.

Thanks everyone! That helps so much! Next time I get around to a morning walk I will reshoot the 1st one.
