Nice use of the strong, dark foreground shadows on a very proven, tried-and-true subject.

Hmmm... I think this is an image that might be better executed in colour. There's so much fine detail that it tends to merge. The one thing that does stand out is the lack of an obvious subject; these sort of pathway/leading line images are difficult to execute successfully without something; whether a person ,animal or what.

Yeah Derrel I'm a sucker for paths. Cant walk one without snapping a few photos. It's kind of a problem.

I dont think color would have worked here... well, maybe. The fall colors were pretty much done on this path. It wasn't even a pretty brown, so...
