I have a Pentax K-100D and I am looking to buy a flash for my camera....I'm looking on Ebay 'cause you can always find a good deal(!) and don't know exactly what I am looking for....Will any flash do? Do I need to look for anything in particular?

Thanks for any & all help!

I would look at the Pentax site and review their flash units first. Then you'll
know the flash will support your camera's features (unless you have some
special need that the Pentax flash units don't provide). After reviewing the
models you can look at what they are selling for at the big retailers to get
price info. Then hit eBay if you're bargain hunting.

I'm sure there are third party brand flash units that are compatible but it's
simpler to just go with a modern Pentax unit. Your camera/flash will also have
greater resale value when the time comes to upgrade.

Is there a difference between a flash unit made for a film camera & one made for a digital camera? I don't have much money to spend & ebay sellers only tell you so much - I just want to be certain of what I buy! (and from whom!)

Thanks for any help!

Edit: After looking through ebay, I found this flash unit...

Sorry if that didn't post right....does that flash seem like it would be alright? Or no? Again, any input is appreciated! Thanks so much!
