pentax K-5 II upgrade question

I am looking at upgrading my canon T3 to something well.... Better. I thought about investing in a better lens but am second guessing that because if I spend a bunch of money on lenses for the canon I am going to tie myself down to the brand and I hate feeling tied down to anything... I need something weatherproof and prefer a metal body, and IQ obviously is a big deal always. Everything is pointing me towards a K-5 II over a 70D or D7100... Price, reviews, and specs all say get the pentax however I am worried that the limited lens choices will become a pain in the future. Can a K-5 II owner convince me that I should pull the trigger?

Get one of each or then you will be tied down to a Pentax......

Pentax have a load of new and old lenses that work on its mount. I don't really think a lack of lenses will ever be a real problem
