Pentax KX Film SLR Unidentified Part?

Just Ordered a vintage Pentax KX film camera and took a closer look at the sellers photos. I noticed a strange looking spring bar visible between the mirror and focus screen. Hoping someone might have an idea what it is. When I asked the seller, he said he had no idea, but did tell me the it occassionally showed up in the viewfinder as well. I'm currently awaiting delivery, but thought someone familiar with the KX model might have an idea what it is. I only paid $15.00 for this camera so I'm not overly concerned. Also wondering if anyone had a good Pentax repair shop to recommend for a CLA? Looking forward to your responses,

Not a Pentax maven but it looks like a misplaced spring retainer for the focus screen. Purely a guess.

I think that's a pretty good guess. I'll send a post when the camera comes in and I can get a better look at it.

If it needs repair you might want to ask Garry. Although he does not list the KX he does have the K1000, KM, and K2 which are very similar. He fixed up my MX and it's like new.
