Shannon again. Shooting with friends I don't get to control the backgrounds as I normally would. Perhaps that's ok to shoot differently.

I think it is good to loose control of background and lighting, it makes you think out of the box!
Lovely skin tone and eye detail.

Trever1 can I ask how you are getting so much in focus with that f2.0 your using? Are you standing back 15 feet or more then cropping the picture. I just ask because when I shot and f2.0 I get very little depth. So to achieve this is the ticket to stand back farther? That is what I am seeing with a depth of field calculator. Thanks

I'm about 13' from her and this frame is in it's entirety, no crop performed at all.

edit: exif reads "

• Approximate Focus Distance - 2.99 " and assuming that's in Meters I'd be 9.809711' feet from her

thanks guys! Relatively simple, place subject in the shaded area on the edge of the shadow (in front ) and you're guaranteed to blow out the sunlit background
