If it makes you happy and makes you smile, then it's a good capture for you to remember.
As an unemotional observer, it's a little creepy for me (not a ton)... more so the first one. It's just an odd position and angle for a picture of a child.
As a photographer, I wouldn't call it a good shot. The composition has issues, the background is distracting and too in focus since it doesn't contribute to the subject or feel in any useful way, the framing leaves a lot to be desired, not a terribly interesting subject, etc.
But, again... if it makes you smile and it's a good memory for you, then there's simply no better shot. I am a pretty critical photographer and I have millions of crappy shots of my kids that I absolutely love. It's your kid that makes the picture special, and in the end that's what really counts in these things. More than that is good, but what you have is fine.
