Photo Shoot

Ok, well, I had done a photo shoot with a friend about a year back now. She had been looking at some of my photos and suggested I take some of her just for kicks. I wasn't really into the whole fashion scene and am still not thougn I did join modelsmahem shortly after the shoot. Nothing came of it but in case I ever want to get back into it I'd like someone I don't know to look over the photos. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.

Way too much background and not enough subject. Subject gets lost from all the background.

the graffitti is horribly distracting. These photo's are way too busy, they severely detract from the model. There is just way too much going on in these photos. You need to highlight your model, not let her meld into the background.

Definitely too far from your subject. I don't understand why they aren't better photos! Maybe it's just me, but I feel they should be better composed

graf seems to be the subject here.
not your intention im sure.

im picky with grafitti as im still in the camp who thinks, when done well, it can be wonderful intricate art.

the grafitti in all these pics are just garbage bombs thrown up as vandalism.
the graf has really hurt your images, as the posing and technical aspects seem good.

def reshoot with this model, and get in close and make the shots about her.

I was doing the same for a while I was more interested in the back ground then the subject thats why I picked the place to shoot at haha just gotta focus more on the subject

I won't add on what had been mentioned above, but I would have composed #2 differently.

Would be better with a open left hip posture (right side of the picture) to crop a part of the left side of the picture? It seems a little awkward to my eyes to have your model almost dead center. I'm not a pro (far from there...) but I believe it would look better.

Are you shooting a model or the graffiti? That is the first thing you ask yourself. I don't think you do either any favours with these compositions. I see what you were aiming for a kinda glam street look. Keep trying though because practice makes perfect. Choose which subject is your focus and shoot that.

Anyway this is just an opinion and not given meaning any offence. Good luck with your future shoots.

I need a wallpaper of Maite Perroni, from RBD. BUT, (big but) it can only be pictures of her from the Celestial photo show. There has to be somewhere, where you can find all the pictures from that photo shoot. Somehow thats the only time she looks amazingly beautiful.

Sorry it's taken a while for me to get back on this.

Most of the photos didn't come out as I had hoped when doing the shoot but I've always liked that first photo. It seems maybe a little to over done with the contrast but overall I liked the layout.

The rest of the photos suffered due to poor planning. We went out on a sunny day without a cloud in the sky. As such, whenever she was in direct sunlight, something in the photo was overpowered. I also asked her to wear darker clothing which probably would have better suited the purpose on a gloomy day. Ah well.

All in all it was a good learning experience and I still like that photo even with it's flaws. Thanks for all the feedback and suggestions.
