The place I work is hosting a photography wall to showcase staff art, it'll run for a month and the topic is "Things around the Pacific NW". Here's the images I'm deciding on, I need to submit 2. They'll be printed and mounted as an 8x10 (space issues).

Any opinions? I'm torn between all of them.

1. Columbia River Gorge

2. Lonely Rock

3. Old Hat

4. Summer Grass

5. Summer Bloom

I like the first one best as being both the best picture and easily recognizable within the theme. The third one (the old hat) would be my second choice.

The last two strike me as being something that could have come from anywhere.

If your PPing skils are good, I would suggest #3 but isolate the face and resharpen it.

People pictures draw interest while the vast proportion of scenics just fade into the background.

Wile this picture isn't 'perfect' composition, it is really damn nice. Older woman, still involved, great expression, word 'creator' over her shoulder.

Lightened upper face, darkened brighter areas that pull attention away.
I think this will really attract interest.
