photography book... recommendations??

I just bought this...

And it so far covering just about everything to teach a newbie. I like it.

But i was also looking into this one...

I would recommend getting "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson. It is a great book about how to utilize exposure to get the shot you want. It is beginner friendly and all of the information is applicable to any camera, it is not brand specific.
