Photography/Editing Books

So I have taken 2 1/2 school courses in photography and I have been using photoshop for digital art for 2 years and for photo editing for 3 months...i was wondering if there are any really good photo/postwork books i should read..im planning to check them out of my library, so not reference books....just one time read books

I have heard that Understanding Exposure: How to Shoot Great Photographs with a Film or Digital by Bryon Peterson is a great book to read. I plan on picking it up tomorrow if I get a chance.
