Photography fun with Christmas Decorations

Mind you, I don't have photoshop at home so I work with what I can. But this was all for fun. I'll do some real PP when I can use PS at school tomorrow night.

I'm assuming you are using the kit lens in conjunction with a heart shaped cut out over the front element. To get better rendered hearts, I'd suggest investing some money in a fixed lens with a larger aperture. 50mm's work just fine. f/3.5 is too small to get good shaped bokeh I think.

This is the case. I had a fund going t my husband was recently told that everyone is being laid off around Christmas (Merry Christmas) so now that fund has to go towards something else. Maybe Santa will hook me up.
