Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
So recently i got into taking portraits for family and friends, but i would like to do things in a studio type setting. What are some of the things i need to setup a photoshoot room? Everything from the background, to lighting and equipment.

Between 500 to 1000 USD.

Between 500 to 1000 USD.

Backdrop kit $300
4 stands $200
3 studio lights ...Over budget

Actually you could do it on your budget using speed lights Purchased used but to put it in perspective my living room studio probably has closer to $3K in gear and the medium quality gear at that.

I can build the backdrop and the stands. All i need are studio lights.

For a fixed room setup, the background paper can be hung on a crossbar supported by "J-hooks" screwed right into the wall studs...VERY economical, but basic. There are multiple ways to hang a 9.5 foot long crossbar from a wall or ceiling.

Look for three, or even better four, 230 volt-compatible, lower-cost monolight flash units. You do not need a lot of power' 150 Watt-second units would be fine.

Do you have a guide as to how to position the equipment correctly?
