Photoshop Actions/Processing

Hello all,

I have been very interested in photography for several years and after much practice and finally learning some basic editing with Photoshop/Lightroom and incorporating some Actions. I have already started developing my own style and I am not in any way wanting to straight copy someone else I am just very curious to how some photographers seem to get a certain look. I understand that a lot of it has to do with the actual photography side and editing is only there to improve already great photos but if anyone has the knowledge of what type of editing or what actions may have been used to achieve these types of photos I would greatly appreciate the input! How to Create The Popular Matte Look in Lightroom Fstoppers

Other obvious technique used in the linked photos: overexpose the highlights then fill in the clipped areas with a flat grey or brown tone.
