Photoshop backgroud change

I have had Photoshop for a while but never really used it for anything other than sharpening and saturation etc. So he is my first attempt and changing backgrounds.

Any tips are appreciated.

I like the blue sky in #1. Though the barn now looks a bit lonely without the tree line.

Thanks for the replies.

What was hard about this one was my computer crashed before I could save the first time so I lost some work there.

Using the magic lasso polygon made it easier than I thought it would.
