It looks like a truck with red paint crashed (or make it exploded) in that field.
I think it would be cool to remove all color in the sky and just keep the red field. It would be stronger with just the accent, now it's just too much.

Thought it was HDR at one point but maybe a little to much contrast?

I wouldn't say it's done in HDR, but the OP has the eye for leading utility lines, took the snapshot and simply over-saturated it.

well. That is the first step in a good photo I suppose. To get a reaction. Any reaction. Guess I should pay to print it and buy some more two dollar frames......

That actually sounds about right. Print it, stick it in a two dollar frame, call it art. Why not?
