picking flowers

Don't worry about the grass... I'd keep the crop at the right where you had it in the first image, and move the crop on the left a bit closer to her elbow. If you keep the overall ratio, that would also cut off about half of the sky. The key elements is your daughter looking at the flower, set in the context of a field of grass, and with some wind blowing. The grass is not the "subject" so it's fine to keep only some of it sharp. You've got a lot of very good material there.
Okay yes thank you for the feedback :D

I like the horizontals so I went this way to accentuate the flow:

I reduce some of the white sky.

Thank you I do like that...what crop ratio did you use?

Sorry for editing. Didn't see the do not edit. I started with 16:9, but it accentuated the centering of the subject so I reduced it to 15:9.

Ok, Lew did what I was blathering about... Thanks Lew! This makes it a really strong image.

Great crop, Lew!! Perfect!!

Thanks for the awesome feedback :) A lot to think about cropping wise.

Because the important elements, girl, hands and flowers are isolated away from the margins and teh margins don't have any detail that is critical, not o mention the lovely content, this picture is amenable to so many treatments.

Sepia toning and a light texture overlay of some sort, then a print on canvas or a textured rag paper would may this an never-forgotten image.

Beautiful picture.

Thank you lew

Just for fun. A pullback of where I shot this. Right there in the little patch of tall grass.
