number 3 is just amazing! I love how symmetrical it is and ray of light just takes it to the next level. Great shot

Thanks. After shooting the sunset I realized I need a better tripod. The wind out on the ocean made it hard to keep the camera steady even with the tripod. Guess that's what I get for buying an el cheapo that only weighed a few pounds.

You have a good eye. Get things off the center...subjects off the center but more importantly, get that horizon off the horizontal centre. Decide if the sky or the sea is more of interest. Your second image is just an odd crop
