All of them are awesome, the last one is outstanding. Very nice

2 is a great b&w.

Thanks for the comments so far! I agree 5 is a bit out of focus, tough to get a really sharp picture of a kid motoring around like she does! haha

1/50s is going to give motion blur on a moving child.

Set your shutter to 1/125s or faster, bump the ISO, and add light. Composition of the photograph is another story

Love them all... last one is amazing!!!

What's with all the praise? Are you related to the OP or something?

#1: Too much space on the top. Might look better with an 8x10 crop (right now it's 6:9, 4:5 would make it less tall). It's not as interesting as #2 but it's a similar shot so #2 kinda trumps it.

#2's a kick ass photo because of all the detail in the frosted window, the silhouette and the perfect framing. The square crop worked very well on this shot as well.

#3: Pacifiers shouldn't make it into photos.. makes this a snapshot in my opinion. Adding selective color to the binky only takes more value away from the photo.

#4: Nice moment captured, decent photo. I'd crop a little off the left and top and call it a day. The grass makes for a good background. The light is all over the place on this one. This shot would have benefited from some fill flash or a reflector of some sort (see the bright highlights vs shadowy areas on the face). I try to stay out of the direct sun when taking photos when I can help it.

#5: I agree with p!nk, weakest of the bunch. It's blurry and dark, skin tones are a bit green, visible diaper..

But #2 is really good.

I'm not trying to be overly harsh or anything, just trying to help.

Thanks for the advice Paul. Definatley agree with your comments. I didn't notice the need for the crop in the pictures until you pointed it out. Thanks.
Babies wear diapers, so I am not sure that that is a huge distraction, but definatley agree that 5 has issues.
I don't think I have any relatives in NY or LA, (or anywhere in the US) but you never know...

I just meant that things like that have an impact on the overall result. Yeah, it's not a big deal - but if you paid someone to do some studio portraits of your daughter, you'd want to take pics without diapers showing. We need to learn to be aware of little things like that to get better at taking photos - just my point of view.

lol she looks like an alien in the last one.

Very cute pictures though. Favorite is probably the first one.

I can go with most of that... but I don't like 1 at all, too much black and the kid looks like an alien.

#2, agreed.

I disagree 50:50 with you on number 3. True, normally pacifiers shouldn't make it into a shot. And I am not a fan at all of selective coloring, it should only be used to draw attention to a subject that wouldn't normally be noticed. BUT, in this case she put the two "exceptions" to the rules together to make for an interesting photo. The SUBJECT isn't the people, its the pacifier. Yes, it certainly takes away from the "cuteness" of the people... but (even if she didn't intended it to be so) the people aren't the subjects. Pacifiers shouldn't be in shots UNLESS the pacifier is the subject. And in this case, the pacifier would have been lost without the selective coloring. I say "kudos" on this one.

#4. Agreed.

#5 getting any praise what-so-ever is beyond me. As far as I'm concerned, that one needs to go in the trash. The highlights are blown out, the top of the head is cut off, part of the arm is cut off, there is a strange band of light extending from the baby's chest, and not to metion that there is nothing in focus here.
