The foreground is really distracting. If not for the title, I would be confused on what your intended subject is.

I thought about that.. hmm, I left it there to give depth to the image. May have failed.

I could try re-shooting from an angle, that may be enough to eliminate those bars from the frame.. or at least enable me t crop them away without losing the wood..
