Pitri camera problem

I'm new to this forum and hope this is the right thread. Here's my problem. I have two cameras that have the same problem. One's a Petri ft ee, and the other is a Petri ft e. they worked ok till I started
changing lenses. I turn the diaphram scale and shutter speed and no change in needle reading in viewfinder, weather it's set to manual or automatic. A new battery HAS been installed.
Am I installing the lens incorectly ?
